Mark Murphy took part in the four-day NRA Eirspan Principal Inspection Workshop in Naas, Co. Kildare between the 10th and 13th October 2011. He is now a listed NRA Eirspan trained Team Leader for Principal Inspections.
Mark also attended the inaugural Workshop which took place at the same location in October 2001.
The course involved learning how the Eirspan Bridge Management System addresses the inventory gathering and principal inspections. Site visits were undertaken to inspect a number of bridges, the data was inputted onto the database and then the Principal Inspection Reports were compared to ensure consistency.
