Bridge Engineer:
Mark was sent on secondment to Owen Williams Consultants to develop skills in Bridge assessment and design with a view to returning to Malachy Walsh & Partners to act as Team Leader for the Eirspan Bridge Management System Department. Whilst in the UK he gained valuable experience from a well established Bridge Engineering department and held the following responsibilities:
- Structural Assessment and Principal Inspections of bridge structures on both road and rail networks.
- Contract preparation for Bridge Strengthening and Rehabilitation Projects throughout East Sussex.
- Surveying and Site investigations
- Resident Engineer on Refurbishment of Brighton Seafront Arches (Honey Club) (€2M)
